Terms of sale

Terms of sale

Guillaume Denoun Artwork
Version dated 19 October 2026 — distance sales to private consumers.

1. Seller and contact details

The Guillaume Denoun Artwork store is operated by Guillaume Denoun, sole trader (EI), artist-author, referred to below as the “Seller”.

The Seller is the customer's contact for orders, delivery, returns and statutory guarantees, including when printing and shipping are entrusted to Printumo or its partners.

2. Scope of these terms

These terms govern purchases from the store by individuals acting for purposes outside their business or profession. They are available before an order is placed. Customers must have legal capacity to enter into a contract.

The version communicated at the time of ordering applies to that order. Later changes apply to subsequent orders and do not amend existing contracts. A copy of the applicable terms is provided on a durable medium with the order confirmation.

3. Artworks and reproductions

  • Original artworks: original paintings by Guillaume Denoun, offered subject to availability. Dimensions, medium, condition and items included are specified on the product page.
  • Reproductions: prints on fine art paper or canvas, produced to order. The size and finish, including whether a frame is included, are those selected by the customer and listed in the order summary.

Buying a print does not include the original painting. Accessories, furniture and decorative items in room mockups are included only if the product description expressly states this.

Images and descriptions show the products as faithfully as possible. Screens, lighting and printing substrates may cause slight perceived colour differences; this does not limit the customer's rights if a product does not conform to the contract.

If a product becomes unavailable after ordering, the Seller informs the customer and refunds the amounts relating to the part of the order that cannot be fulfilled. No substitute is imposed without the customer's agreement.

4. Prices, VAT and other charges

Consumer prices are displayed in euros, including applicable taxes. Any shipping charges are shown before the order is finally submitted. The order summary shows the total payable.

For sales taxable in mainland France, paper and canvas reproductions are subject to the standard 20% VAT rate. Original paintings created by hand by the artist and meeting the tax definition of works of art are subject to 5.5% VAT. The applicable VAT may differ according to the delivery location and the tax rules governing the transaction. VAT is detailed on the invoice.

The price displayed at the time of ordering applies. Subsequent price changes do not affect a concluded order.

For delivery outside the European Union, import duties or taxes may be payable depending on the destination and dispatch location. Unless expressly shown as collected at checkout, these import charges are not included in the price and may be collected from the recipient by local authorities or the carrier. They depend on the destination and are separate from shipping charges invoiced by the Seller.

5. Ordering and payment

The customer selects the artwork, product type, size and finish and enters their contact and delivery details. Before paying, they can review the order, check the total and correct any input errors.

The contract is concluded when the order is finally submitted with an obligation to pay and payment is accepted. An order confirmation is sent by email. Full payment is due when ordering, using one of the payment methods actually offered at checkout. Payment details are handled by the store's payment providers.

Customers should contact the Seller promptly if an order or delivery address is incorrect. It may be impossible to stop or amend a print already in production. This does not remove an applicable right of withdrawal or statutory guarantees.

Confirmations, invoices and correspondence may be used as evidence, without preventing the customer from using other legally admissible evidence. For electronic contracts worth €120 or more, the Seller retains the contract and provides access on request for the statutory period under Articles L. 213-1 and D. 213-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

6. Production, dispatch and delivery

Available destinations, delivery methods and charges are displayed before the order is finally submitted. Reproductions are made to order by Printumo and its partners; original artworks are prepared for dispatch by the Seller.

Original artworks: preparation and handover to the carrier within one week after ordering. Transit time is additional.

Fine art paper and canvas prints: production usually takes 1–2 business days and may take up to 4–5 business days. After production, estimated transit times are generally 2–5 business days to Europe and the United Kingdom, 3–7 business days to the United States and Canada, and 4–8 business days to Australia, where the product and address are served.

These estimates distinguish production from transit. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. For other destinations offered at checkout, transit depends on the country and production location. Availability varies by medium, size and frame; a country appearing in the country selector does not mean that every product can be delivered there.

The delivery date or period announced before ordering is binding on the Seller. If no date or period is agreed, delivery takes place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded, in accordance with Article L. 216-1 of the French Consumer Code.

An order may arrive in separate parcels. Splitting an order at the Seller's initiative does not result in additional charges beyond the total accepted by the customer. Tracking information is provided when available.

If delivery is late, the customer may require delivery within a reasonable additional period and, if delivery still does not occur, terminate the contract. Immediate termination is possible where the law permits, including if the Seller refuses delivery or an essential delivery date was communicated before ordering. The amounts due are refunded within 14 days after termination.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when they, or a person they designate other than the carrier offered by the Seller, take physical possession of the goods. Special statutory rules apply where the customer independently appoints a carrier not offered by the Seller.

If a parcel appears damaged, customers are encouraged to record specific reservations with the carrier and contact the Seller, with photographs if possible. Not making reservations or providing photographs does not remove statutory guarantees.

7. Right of withdrawal

7.1 Period and eligible goods

Customers have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason. The period begins on the day after the goods are received by the customer or their designated recipient. If several goods in one order are delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item. If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday or non-working holiday, it extends to the next working day.

This right applies to completed original artworks offered in the catalogue and reproductions selected from the catalogue's standard designs, sizes and finishes. Production after ordering does not, by itself, exclude the right of withdrawal.

The exception in Article L. 221-28(3) of the French Consumer Code applies only to goods genuinely made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, such as an artwork created to a personal commission. If such a service is offered, the customer is clearly informed before contracting that no right of withdrawal applies. This exception never removes statutory guarantees.

7.2 Giving notice

Before the withdrawal period expires, the customer may send the form below or any other unambiguous statement of their decision:

Providing the customer's name, order reference and affected products helps processing. The model form is optional. Withdrawal does not require the Seller's prior authorisation.

Customers may also use their order account — withdrawal, returns or cancellation, accessible from the store. Sign in using the email address used for the order, open the order and follow the cancellation or return steps. An email notification confirms receipt of the request. Withdrawal is not conditional on the Seller accepting it. If there is a technical problem or the option is unavailable, email and post remain available within the same period.

7.3 Returning goods

The customer must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after giving notice. Returns go to the Seller's address in section 1 unless another return address is communicated in good time. Goods must not be sent directly to a Printumo facility without instructions.

Returns of original artworks and reproductions are received at: Guillaume Denoun EI, 9 rue de Pont Salaün, 22660 Trélévern, France.

The customer bears the direct return costs for a change-of-mind withdrawal, unless the Seller has offered to cover them. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, an estimate of the return cost must be provided before ordering; if that required information was not given, the Seller bears the cost.

Goods should be carefully protected, ideally in the original packaging or equally protective packaging. Original packaging is not a condition of withdrawal. The customer is liable only for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods' nature, characteristics and functioning.

7.4 Refunds

If the customer withdraws from the entire order, the Seller refunds all payments received, including standard outbound delivery. Any extra cost of a more expensive delivery method expressly chosen by the customer is not refunded. For a partial return, the refund covers the relevant goods and any delivery charges refundable by law.

Refunds are made within 14 days after notice of withdrawal. The Seller may withhold the refund until the goods are received or evidence of their dispatch is provided, whichever occurs first. The same payment method is used unless the customer expressly agrees to another method without fees. A credit note cannot be imposed.

8. Damage, errors and statutory guarantees

For a wrong item, damage or defect, contact the Seller using the details in section 1. The Seller pays the costs necessary to fulfil statutory guarantees. Printumo's or a carrier's internal claim deadlines do not restrict the customer's rights against the Seller.

Statutory guarantees apply to original artworks and reproductions, without prejudice to any commercial guarantee expressly offered. The Seller is liable under the legal guarantee of conformity in Articles L. 217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the hidden-defects guarantee in Articles 1641–1649 of the French Civil Code.

Statutory guarantee information for goods

The consumer has two years from delivery to invoke the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity becomes apparent. During that period, the consumer need only establish that the defect exists, not when it arose.

Where a sale contract provides for continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the guarantee applies to that content or service throughout the agreed supply period. During that period the consumer need only prove the lack of conformity, not when it appeared.

Where applicable, the trader must provide any updates necessary to maintain conformity.

The consumer is entitled to repair or replacement within 30 days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.

If the goods are repaired under the guarantee, the original guarantee is extended by six months. If the consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, the guarantee starts again for two years from delivery of the replacement.

The consumer may retain the goods and obtain a price reduction, or end the contract and obtain a full refund on returning the goods, if:

  1. The trader refuses to repair or replace them;
  2. Repair or replacement takes longer than 30 days;
  3. Repair or replacement causes major inconvenience, including where the consumer definitively bears collection costs or installation costs for repaired or replacement goods;
  4. The lack of conformity remains despite the seller's attempted remedy.

A price reduction or termination may also be available immediately if the defect is sufficiently serious, without first requesting repair or replacement. The consumer cannot terminate the contract for a minor defect.

Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee until conforming goods are delivered.

These rights follow from Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code. A seller who obstructs the guarantee in bad faith may face a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover under Article L. 241-5.

The consumer also benefits from the hidden-defects guarantee under Articles 1641–1649 of the French Civil Code for two years after discovering the defect. It provides for a price reduction if the goods are retained, or a full refund if they are returned.

9. Intellectual property

The purchase concerns the physical artwork or reproduction. It does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights or commercial exploitation rights. Any use requiring the artist's permission must be separately agreed, subject to statutory exceptions.

10. Personal data

Data required for the order is used to process the purchase, payment, production, shipping, invoicing and customer service. Providers including Shopify, payment providers, Printumo and carriers act within their respective roles and applicable data protection rules.

The store's privacy policy explains processing, retention and how to exercise your rights. You can also contact the Seller at the email address in section 1.

11. Complaints and consumer mediation

Customers may submit complaints by email or post using the Seller's contact details in section 1. If a prior written complaint does not lead to an amicable resolution, the customer may use consumer mediation free of charge under Articles L. 611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

The Seller has appointed CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France. Customers may refer a dispute by post or through www.cm2c.net.

In particular, the mediation request must be submitted within one year of the written complaint to the Seller. Mediation is optional and does not remove the customer's right to bring a claim before a competent court.

12. Applicable law

These terms were drafted in French; this is their English translation. They are governed by French law. This choice does not deprive consumers residing in another country of mandatory protections applicable to them. Jurisdiction is determined by the applicable legal rules; no exclusive jurisdiction is imposed to the consumer's detriment.

Annex — model withdrawal form

Complete and send this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. You may instead send any clear statement of your decision.
