About this artwork
A vivid red background surrounds a dark-haired portrait, crossed by the blues and whites of a striped jacket. Lifted strands of hair and a sideways glance bring tension to the image. In Rouge, Guillaume Denoun brings colour contrasts into dialogue with facial expression.
